One magical day in Japan, a stray cat wandered into a Mino ware pottery studio. It just so happened to be Tanabata—the beloved Star Festival when wishes are written on paper and hung from bamboo. The potters saw this unexpected visitor as a sign of good fortune and named it “Shichita,” after the seventh day of the seventh month.
