Hasami Ware Yellow Glaze Tobikanna Mehagi 5.5 Flat Bowl

€37,95

“Mehagi” refers to the circular patterns created by removing glaze from overlapping areas before firing, preventing the pieces from sticking together in the kiln. This technique is commonly seen in Ontayaki and Koishiwara-yaki pottery from Kyushu.

In this series, the Mehagi pattern is intentionally incorporated as a decorative element, adding to the bowl’s unique charm. This flat bowl is versatile and can be used as a small serving dish, side dish bowl, or even as a convenient bowl for hot pot meals.
