Golden osmanthus Kayaori Kitchen towel | Nakagawa Masashichi shoten

$11

This stunning fabric features a beautiful design of golden osmanthus flowers, which bloom magnificently in autumn, complemented by a warm, orange kaya-ori fabric on the reverse side, evoking the deepening hues of the season.

Kaya-ori, a traditional craft from Nara, has been cherished since before the Nara period. Known for its coarse, lightweight texture, it was originally used in mosquito nets (kaya) that allow air to flow while keeping insects out.

Our dishcloth, crafted from five layers of cotton kaya-ori, becomes softer with each use, offering exceptional absorbency and durability. It’s ideal for drying dishes, wiping tables, or personal use. Perfect for small gifts or as a thoughtful gesture for any occasion!

Versatile Uses:
Perfect as a dishcloth or an elegant table napkin, Kaya-ori elevates your kitchen and dining experience, all while celebrating the beauty of Japanese craftsmanship.

Care Instructions:
To preserve the quality of the fabric, wash thoroughly in cold or lukewarm water to remove any starch before first use. Embrace the perfect blend of tradition and style!
