32 views from "Hundred Views of the City (100 Views of the City Famous Places)" published in colored woodblock prints in the late Edo period.
The highlights are the seasonal sights and emotional sights.
Beginning with the Kyoto Imperial Palace, Sanjusangendo, Kinkakuji, Ginkakuji, Shijogawara, Gion Matsuri, Arashiyama, and other famous places in Rakuchu and Rakuchu are vividly depicted.
The colored woodblock print "Hundred Views of the City" was created by five ukiyo-e artists, including Umekawa Tokyo and Utagawa Hokusui.
Many of these works are temples and shrines that people still visit.
In addition, the annual events and customs of the past, the world and customs are also drawn, and it conveys the lively appearance of the common people.
This is a book that brings back the scenery of Kyoto at the end of the Edo period.
